I'm a member of two online acting studios: Crash Acting in LA, and The Green Room Studio in Chicago. I love the regular training, feedback, and support that these programs have given me!
This summer I shot my own short film! I wrote, produced, and acted in it. We're in post-production now, and I'm so excited to share it once it's done!
In May, I shot an internal training video for White Claw. It was so fun, and the team was so great! I really got to flex my teleprompter skills--there was a lot of copy!
Bonus: I was nominated for Best Female Performance in a Drama at the Rio Webfest for my Series Regular performance in the coming-of-age webseries Hot Summer Daze! Check out the first episode here.
The short film that I wrote and am producing and starring in, The Picnic, just started principal photography! Oh my gosh! If you're interested in the most up-to-date updates regarding filming, check out my "The Picnic" story highlight on my Instagram. (There were many horses on set 🥰)
I am now repped by the wonderful folks at Shirley Hamilton Talent! I'm so excited to start our journey together :)
IndieWire included Year One, the feature that I shot in spring 2022, on their Sundance Wish List! Almost every other film on the list features a big name… we’re up there with the likes of Emma Stone, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Zendaya 😎
I guess the multicam sitcom training with Mary Lou payed off--because I just booked a Series Regular role on an MFA-led multi-camera sitcom webseries with Columbia College! We start shooting this week 🥳
I spent a whole weekend in LA learning the ins and outs of sitcom acting with Mary Lou Belli, and an extremely talented group of actors. Now if someone tells me to "punch the blow" on set, I'll know exactly what to do 😌
me and Mary Lou :)
I will be playing Louisa in the staged reading of Driving the Dream with Her Story Theater! It's about the life of Bertha Benz, who changed the course of automobile history. Our performance is on November 13th at Raven Theatre.
Converting has officially been released on YouTube! Yay! It's only 5 episodes, all around 10 minutes. Check it out here!
I will be playing the lead role of Kittie in the Latvian play, Ladies, with The International Voices Project. And it's directed by my A Town Called Progress director, Anna Bahow!
We have one performance at the Instituto Cervantes on June 28.
I was in the world premiere of A Town Called Progress with Promethean Theatre Ensemble!
I had gotten cast in this show on December 15, 2019 (I went wayyyy back in my email to track down the date of the actual offer email). We were supposed to go up in April 2020, but... I think you can guess what happened. It was so fulfilling to bring to life the play that had been in the back of my brain for over 3 years.
We ran March 18-April 15, and it was an absolute delight. I played the Lead Role of Vivian, an optimistic-yet-industrious dreamer who is smarter than people give her credit for. I was onstage almost the entire play. I had a sex scene, I birthed a baby on stage, and I had to do it all in an Oklahoma accent. It was a blast!
This month, I booked and shot a Recurring Guest Star Role in Converting: The Webseries, directed and written by Ariella Khan, and shot by Dhruv Mehra. The show is about an intercultural South Asian couple navigating the complexities of their identities--both together and apart.
This was another Northwestern-heavy set! Ariella and Dhruv are both Northwestern alums, along with my onscreen ex-boyfriend Rishi Mahesh, and truly a ton of the crew.
I had so much fun on this set! Everyone was super warm, welcoming, and kind. I can't wait to see the finished product!
We shot a movie!
In May, I was cast in a Supporting Role in the coming-of-age indie feature, Year One, written and directed by fellow Northwestern alum Lauren Loesberg. In June, we shot it!
The film is about Ruby's (Elizabeth Yu) freshman year of college--and what she learns about her relationship with others, but more importantly her relationship with herself.
I had so much fun playing Ruby's quirky-yet-sincere best friend, Amy. Everyone on set was super warm and kind, and there were SO many Northwestern alums! We shot most of it on the Northwestern campus, and The Daily Northwestern even wrote an article about us. 🥰 Check it out here.
